Kane County Division of Transportation contracted with WBK to provide Phase I and Phase II Engineering services to prepare plans, specifications, estimates, right-of-way plats and legal descriptions and permit applications for the replacement of the 8’ x 7’ twin cell reinforced concrete box culvert carrying LaFox Road over Mill Creek and a smaller 4’ x 6½’ reinforced concrete box culvert carrying a tributary of Mill Creek in Kane County.

Improvements include staged construction of a new two (2) lane, one-span bridge with a with a precast, prestressed deck beam superstructure supported on reinforced concrete pile bent abutments, new approach pavements, full depth HMA roadway and shoulder reconstruction, new steel sheet pile retaining wall, 6’x6’ box culvert and end sections, new storm sewer system, guardrails, striping and signage, and restoration.
