WBK Awarded Federal SBA 8(a) Certification

WBK Engineering, LLC has been certified as a participant in the U.S. Small Business Administration’s SBA 8(a) Business Development Program.

The 8(a) Business Development Program is an assistance program for entities considered small disadvantaged businesses. The 8(a) Program offers a broad scope of assistance to firms that are owned and controlled at least 51% by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals.  The Native 8(a) program is a designation for those companies certified which have Native American ownership.  WBK qualifies for this program as a member of the Mno-Bmadsen Family.  Mno-Bmadsen is the investment enterprise of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians.

“This represents a big step forward into new markets, opening new possibilities for WBK Engineering LLC and through WBK the citizens of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians”, says John Wills, President of WBK.  “The goal of our partnership to bring the strength of our tribal nation together with a great group of scientists and engineers is rapidly taking shape,” says Troy Clay, President & CEO of Mno-Bmadsen.  “As partners, our primary growth objective was in federal contracting.  We are well on our way there.”
