In 2011 and 2012 Wills Burke Kelsey Associates provided professional ​engineering services to the Illinois Department of Transportation District 2 for the feasibility study and contract documents for the partial insertion lining of twin 14-foot CMP culverts carrying Mud Creek under I74/I280. The insertion lining system determined to be the best solution was a 144-inch diameter Smooth Cor pipe supplied by Contech Engineered Solutions.  To date, this is the largest culvert reline project that IDOT has undertaken.  Details of this project are discussed in Contech’s September 2014 newsletter.
